Many thanks to the Sherman Street Event Center (1770 Sherman St., Denver 80203) for being such gracious hosts to The Wedding Connectors for our monthly Wedding Connectors on Tour. The Event Center actually houses three venues. The Byzantine themed Grand Ballroom seats up to 500 guests and has an amazingly outstanding “Dancing with the Stars” style dance floor! There is also an Auditorium Theatre with stadium seating and a stage. Finally, there is a Main Floor that will seat 200 guests. This is where we met and mingled. Michael’s of Denver provided a variety of drinks and food (the molasses glazed salmon was especially tantalizing.) The Event Complex was formerly known as “El Jebel Shrine” and until 1995 was open only to its members. This beautiful historic facility is now available for public and private events from proms, theatre productions and holiday parties to concerts, fundraisers, wedding receptions. and elegant galas.
